Event To Remember: Models On The Island Season 4

On Easter Monday, 2^nd of April 2018, the grand Finale of Models on the Island Season 4, took place at Virginrose Resorts.

The competition had Models from Nigeria, Liberia, Benin Republic and Ghana who were camped at Prince and Princess Royalty Beach Resort, from 29^th to 2^nd of March 2018.

   

The 5 days camp experience was set up to discover, develop and empower the young models for a successful career in Modeling, Movie, Fashion, Beauty, Presenting, among others.

After watching the models showcase their talents and battle it up on the runway, two models, walked home with brand New Cars.

Models from other countries were also crowned ambassadors for each country they represented

The competition gave opportunities to 15 models by creating other title tags to accommodate many as winners.

No edition of BBNaija must hold in Nigeria – Censors board

Executive Director, National Film and Video Censors Board, Mr Adedayo Thomas, says the next edition of Big Brother Nigeria reality show (BBNaija) should be hosted in the country.

The Executive Director, National Film and Video Censors Board, Mr Adedayo Thomas, says the next edition of Big Brother Nigeriareality show (BBNaija) should be hosted in the country.

Thomas, in an interview with News Agency of Nigeria on Tuesday in Abuja, said this while expressing displeasure on why a Nigerian show was being held in South Africa.

Big Brother Nigeria reality show (BBNaija) which was introduced in 2006, is a special Nigerian version of the continental show Big Brother Africa.

The 2018 edition is its second consecutive running year, as it had previously suffered a 10-year hiatus after holding its first edition in 2006.

Thomas said:

“If it is Big Brother Africa, they can host that anywhere; but the one for Nigeria should be hosted in Nigeria.

“Nigeria has what it takes to host the show; after all, there are many multinational/telecommunication companies hitherto operating hitch-free in the country.

“If the organisers are talking about lack of available infrastructure as an excuse, then how is MTN operating successfully 24/7 in this same country?

“If MTN, a similar South African company, has been surviving in this country, then I don’t think anybody has an excuse for not hosting BBNaija in Nigeria.

“They are making a lot of money from Nigerians here, so, we want them to host it here.”

On the criticism in some quarters that the show is not healthy for young viewers, Thomas said it was the responsibility of parents to check what their children watch.

He said the programme was rated 18+, adding,

“a couple of the scenes are adult content and that is where parental guidance comes in.

“Parents can always block the watching of some scenes within a particular period or in totality.

“It is not government’s responsibility to assume the parental roles of moral upbringing of children in their homes,’’ he said.

15-years after, Abike Dabiri will return to NTA as a guest presenter on 'Newsline' tonight

Abike Dabiri-Erewa, the Senior Special Assistant on Foreign Relations and Diaspora Affairs will tonight return to NTA as a guest presenter on Newsline.

Millionaire Car dealer who was murdered on Monday buried with $2million worth of Jewelries, his customized Timberland and Bentley (photos)

Millionaire Car dealer and real estate agentSheron Sukhdeo who hails from from Trinidad and Tobago was murdered on Monday in cold blood. He was just 33.

 

Police reports said that Sukhdeo was shot multiple times in a drive by attack outside the home of relatives at Caroni Savannah Road, Charlieville shortly before 9p.m on Monday March 26th.

 

Sukhdeo, who is married and a father of two, died while being treated at hospital leaving behind an empire worth tens of millions of dollars, a wife and two children.

For his burial yesterday, Sukhdeo’s body arrived in a white hearse just before 10 am. He was dressed in white along with his famous gold jewellery adorning his fingers, hands and neck.  

 

His casket was inscribed with the words‘Sheron’s Auto’ and ‘World Boss’ inside.  A pair of Timberland boots were placed in the casket near to his feet while hs trophies from various racing events were on display.  

 

Several of his luxurious cars were also parked outside the house while his two young children accompanied their mother. Sukhdeo will be cremated at the Waterloo cremation site and so far, no one has been arrested in connection with his murder.
